The Nintendo Wii U has seen many ups and downs in it
lifespan. More often than not, its downs have been far too many, due to the
lack of 1st party games and 3rd party support.
However, with the releases of Mario
Kart, Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Brothers, the Wii U certainly has shined in the 4th quarter of 2014. With Nintendo on the rebound, let's take a look at 2015 and check out some of the most exciting games that are
just around the corner!!!
#10 - SPLATOON
It's the kid’s version of paintball! Team up with 3 of your
friends and take on 4 others in this action-shooter game. It's in third person,
and you literally splatter players all over the place with your paint guns.
Throw in a single player campaign, and you may have a really fun time playing
some local games with your family and friends!

#9 - YOSHI'S WOOLLY WORLD
A new Yoshi adventure game is on its way, and it seems to be
very user-friendly. Toss in some co-op and you will start to grab the attention
of many fine gamers. This platform will allow Yoshi to explore the world
through the means of yarn, lots of yarn. It's a beautiful game that flourishes
with its colors and simple mechanics. You will weave your way through wool,
uncover plenty of secrets, travel using warp pipes and solve puzzles with, you
guessed it, yarn!

#8 - MARIO PARTY 10
You'd think that Nintendo would have run out of ideas with
the Mario Party's by now. Enter
Bowser, with all of his new mini-games and having the option to PLAY as Bowser
against four of the other contestants, all at the same time! That means that IF
Bowser catches up to the other players on the board, one person will be able to
control him (with the GamePad) and cause massive amounts of mayhem. Use the
GamePad to tilt the screen, and you can even use it as a spinning wheel and as pinball flippers too. Get ready for this one, friends and family!

#7 - PROJECT CARS (March 17th, 2015)
Project Cars is the real deal, and it’s the WII
U's first 3rd party racing game. And guess what, folks? There is NO Mario in
this game! Slightly Mad Studios will push the envelope with the Wii U and show
off just how powerful the system really is. You can create your own Driver,
pick from a variety of vehicles and much, much more. Keep an eye out for this
one, literally, as it looks to be one of the finer looking Wii U (3rd party)
games that we've ever seen!

#6 - MARIO MAKER
If you've played Mario
from the days of the NES, then you will be in for a major treat. You will
literally be able to design your very own levels with the GamePad! We're
talking about using the old bricks and mortar from the original Mario's, all
the way up to the New Super Mario Bros.
for the Wii U. You can lower pipes, remove floors, add loads of enemies and so
much more. This game should be fun for a very long time, folks!

#5 - THE DEVILS THIRD
The Devil's Third has been in-the-making for years,
and it's a Wii U THIRD PARTY EXCLUSIVE. This is a third-person shooter and
combat-type game and let me tell ya, it's pretty gruesome. Not much has been
said since last year's E3, but if you look at the gameplay, you will notice
that while the graphics don’t look very impressive, you get the sense that the
gameplay is going to be extremely fun. It has the arcade touch to it and Wii U
owners will be able to enjoy a very heavy action-based game with their friends
online as well as having a single player campaign. And yes, there's swords too.
Hack 'em up, rack 'em up, or shoot 'em up, the choice is yours!

So, yeah. I have Mighty
No. 9 pretty high on my list, for an indie game. Oh, and it's not a Wii U
exclusive either. So what makes this game so special? Keiji Inafune.
That's right! He's the dude who made Mega
Man. Not only that, but this game has many of the same concepts and it
looks gorgeous. Playing this off-screen with the GamePad makes me want to get
this for the Wii U, and it's just that simple. Anyone who loves Mega Man WILL love this game. And not
only will you gain new abilities from your enemies, Beck (aka the, "New Mega Man") will be able to
reconfigure into new shapes, which will lead to all kinds of abilities and
skills. Oh, and did I mention that there is co-op? Buckle up friends, there's a
new sheriff in town, and his name is Beck!!!

#3 XENOBLADE CHRONICLES X
Nintendo has said that X is being targeted for a 2015
release, which is why I a putting this game at the #3 spot. X is an open world,
JRPG that looks to be one of the best games, if not the best game of 2015 (if
released on time). You square off against beasts that are challenging and some
that are very massive as well. Monolith Software knows what they are doing.
Incredible graphics, mech-type fighting, exploration, in-depth character
customization, and you are guaranteed to spend at LEAST 60 hours on this one.
Do yourself a favor and watch one of the trailers from last year's E3. You
WON'T be disappointed.

#2 – STAR FOX Wii U
I mean, seriously! How long has it been since we've seen an
actual, legitimate Star Fox game? I
can only play as Fox so many stinkin' times in Smash Bros. before I start
crying out for a new Star Fox game!
While we don’t know much about the game just yet, we do know that you will be
able to use the GamePad to assist you with flying your Arwing around. The old
Star Fox games are classic, simple and brilliant. They will look to recapture
its greatness way back to the days of the N64. If you're a fan of the serious,
then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

#1 - THE LEGEND OF ZELDA WII U (Q4 2015)
That's all that needs to be said, right? Zelda. Zelda. Link. Zelda. Zelda. Nintendo is finally going back to making Zelda an
open world game, and I could not be more excited! The game looks absolutely
detailed and stunning. I'm even somewhat reminded of Skyrim when I see the potential of this new Zelda game. And how about riding on Epona? From the slow-motion
arrow shots (while jumping off the horse), to the swing of your sword (while on
Epona), this game looks to blow any Nintendo fan away. The GamePad will be used
extensively also. For example, you can set beacons on the pad. You can zoom in
and zoom out of the gigantic map and obviously more. They will sell millions of
copies and systems with this gem. There will be no more excuse to not have a
Wii U after this game releases later in 2015.
